At Varcity Living we’ve been improving and adapting our services, including introducing Video Tours and Virtual Viewings to bring our services right to you.
We want our customers to receive the best from us at all times, no matter the situation. Because of this we’ve implemented tools for reporting maintenance problems from our website as well as an online payment system and a Landlord Dashboard. These online tools have all been implemented with the purpose of making the lives of our customers easier and ensuring our services are always available to them.
At Varcity Living, we always do what we can to make things easier for our customers. That’s why we’re introducing Video Tours to our website. This means that you can watch a tour of the property of your choosing from our website and gain a first-person perspective without having to journey to the property in person.
This new development means we are also now in a position to offer Virtual Viewings, where a member of the Varcity Living team will conduct a viewing online and provide you with their knowledge of the property.

Sometimes you just need to have a bit of one-on-one with someone in the know, which we can appreciate. However, we’re going to be doing our best to avoid face-to-face meetings for the time being to keep our customers and our staff as safe as possible.
This doesn’t mean that you have to miss out though; our staff are able to answer any of your queries by email or over the phone or via video call. Whatever you need, we’re here for you.
During the pandemic our offices have been closed to the general public for both the safety of our customers and of our staff. You may have already noticed our ‘arcade’ which acts as a safety hatch at our College Road location and, if not, you can head to our social media to have a sneak peek.
This hatch will always be in the doorway of our College Road office and has a convenient drawer for you to pick up and drop off keys, documentation and more. This means that the staff working in that office are kept safe and you experience no disruption when collecting items and seeing the staff in person.
Our offices are otherwise by appointment only and you will only be able to gain access to these if an in-person appointment is considered absolutely essential.
In order to maintain social distances and keep both our customers and staff safe, we’re introducing Video Tours and Virtual Viewings to our online offering. You can view your future home from the comfort of your existing one and arrange Virtual Viewings with a member of our Sales Team, who will be able to walk you through all the different features of the property as they appear in front of you.
We’ve also implemented an online Property Application form, which means you can fill out the relevant information for becoming an occupant with us and secure a property completely online. Not only does this mean that you save time and effort on making your way to our offices, but it will also have a significant impact on reducing our paper waste, helping to minimise wasteful use of natural resources.
To help cut down on unnecessary travel even further we are changing the way we handle property viewings to make things easier for our customers. We are asking all prospective occupants to ensure they are genuinely interested in a property by watching the available property video first. As well as helping to save on time and effort, a major benefit of these videos is that you can view them 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, hopefully helping to make your house hunting a much shorter endeavour.
Once you have decided you would like some further information we will then arrange a Virtual Viewing, where an agent will guide you through the video and provide information and insight that may not necessarily be contained in the listing description. If, at this point, you wish to have a viewing in person then you can schedule that with a member of our team. Afterwards you will be directed to fill out our online Property Application form to secure the property.
Our landlords benefit from the Landlord Dashboard, which can be accessed from our website. This tool allows landlords to easily gain an overview of all properties they are letting with us, including such things as details on rental payments, free self-assessment tax forms, any ongoing maintenance works and more.
We are expanding the services we provide for our landlords by introducing closing, opening and interim inspection videos. This will replace our previous system and mean we can now offer a nearly paperless service throughout. It will also provide far greater visibility of a property to a landlord, which in turn will aid in such matters as maintenance troubleshooting, property upgrades and property management decisions. These new methods will help our landlords to save on time and effort, as well as cut down on the reams of paper often used in creating these accounts in document form.

Part of ensuring our services meet the needs of our property buyers and sellers is by constantly reflecting on what services we offer and how we can improve upon this offering. We want there to be no impediment to our ability to conduct property viewings; a part of our role which is essential to selling properties.

Once they have watched these videos they will then be able to request an appointment for a Virtual Viewing, which is when a member of our Sales team can guide them through the features and benefits of the property as they view the video content together.
Because of these videos prospective buyers will be able to view any of our properties 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, meaning our office hours will have no impact on their ability to gain further insight into any given property.
